Meet Rin Culver
Rin is currently in her fifth year at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and is completing a year-long practicum placement with Phoenix Psychology under the supervision of Dr. Tina D. Hoffman. She brings thoughtfulness, authenticity, and a holistic lens to her clinical work, offering a space where clients can explore their experiences with validation, curiosity, and support.
Rin is passionate about working with underserved and marginalized students, including first-generation, queer, and students of color. Her training has focused on mood and anxiety concerns, gender identity, and sexual and reproductive health and well-being. She also welcome clients interested in exploring attention-related concerns (ADHD) and autism. Rin’s hope is to create an affirming, collaborative environment where clients can feel understood, empowered, and supported in moving toward meaningful change.
Rin's Approach
Rin primarily works from a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) framework, supporting clients in understanding patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. At the same time, she recognizes that each person’s experiences and goals are unique.
Her work is holistic at its core and informed by feminist, multicultural, and strengths-based perspectives, acknowledging the impact of identity and social context on well-being. Rin strives to meet each client in the ways they most need, fostering a therapeutic space that feels validating, individualized, and growth-oriented.
